Some say he's a myth.

Some say he never existed

Some say he's nylex's farther 

But what we do know he came from the sea on a dark foggy evening.

Travelling north he collected  survivors of the appocolips and toom them to a camp up north.

He called this camp"HOPE" 

And he looked after it's citizens like his own children. But he never forgot his loss.

He left his wife and child to work on cargoships much like the one beached on the south coast. He travelled from China to America and Europe most of his life leaving just bethor. Well just bethor this all happend. He changed his ships course to America running out of fuel not far of the coast. 

He jumped overboard and swam for shore leaveing his shop to drift and his crew to fend for themselves.

He regretted what he did but he saw an opportunity  to see his family again. Sadly he never did. But what he accomplished was far greater than what this new world has ever seen.

He created "HOPE" long bethor any safe zone or militia. It was just "HOPE" and the people came and worked the land and felled the trees and mined for ore just north of the town of "vybor" .And in return they got shelter and food and some story's of a more comforting time.

But like all good things they come to an end. As "HOPE"'s legend as a safe haven spread it soon reached the attention of a group the "red star malitia" they came to "HOPE" with a list of demands and if the captain didn't comply they would burn "HOPE" to the ground.

The captain mocked them saying "if I can set up this place and provide it's people with shelter they will stand by me and fight for it and because of this HOPE will nether fall". So the militia left but not a day later they returned with 100 men who burned the place to the ground killing everyone they could find and looting everything they could. There was one survivor the captain. And as he watched all he built be reduced to ash he swore to avenge the people who died that day.

Now hope is no more than a small shak north of the town of "vybor" but there is talk that it is slowly being rebuild by the captain and a small number of recrutes. And it's looking for new members to take the fight to the "red star malitia"
